Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 and its amendments, there is a requirement to be able to look after your staff during an emergency, this includes Civil Defence emergencies.The Ministry of Civil Defence & Emergency Management have released a guide for emergency equipment food and training in a workplace environment.
When deciding what to include in an office survival kit you need to consider a number of factors including:

- What site specific disasters may affect your building?
- How much food and water will be available in case of emergency?
- How much warmth or shelter is required.

Examples of a Workplace Civil Defence Kits that we can supply are listed below. This kits are designed for an office size from 5 to 25 people and contains more then the minimum requirements outlined by Civil Defence, including food supplies.
The only items these kits do not include are the cabinet itself and the heavy hardware tools such as an axe, sledgehammer, step ladder etc. which we are confident you can pick up at your local Mitre 10, Placemakers or Bunnings.
